The heart of your wedding reception unfolds beneath a sweeping aluminium marquee, set directly on the lawn against the natural beauty of the Magaliesburg landscape. No artificial ceilings. No convention centre carpet. Just your people, your day, and the farm stretching out around you.

The marquee accommodates all 40 guests for a sit-down meal — dining tables, plus dedicated buffet tables and a bridal party table at the front. The shade cloth floor keeps things clean and comfortable underfoot, whatever the season.

The 10×12m hall forms the emotional heart of your wedding day — purpose-built to host the ceremony itself. Intimate enough to feel personal, spacious enough for all 40 guests to witness the moment together.

After the ceremony, the hall transitions seamlessly into a reception and dancing space — speeches, first dances, and the moments your guests will talk about for years. The room changes with your evening as naturally as you do.

The fully equipped self-catering kitchen is built on-suite to the hall — your caterer walks steps, not corridors. Gas cooking with full solar power as standard means no dependency on the national grid. A backup generator ensures uninterrupted service, even when the country goes dark.

Micah is a bring-your-own-caterer venue — so your food, your flavour, your family recipes. The kitchen simply gives your team everything they need to execute beautifully.

Bridal Suite & Logistics

The bridal party has exclusive use of a private room with its own on-suite bathroom — a calm, unhurried space to arrive in, change between ceremonies, or simply breathe. Your morning belongs to you, not a hotel schedule.

Outside, the farm holds it all together: secure electric-fence perimeter, dedicated parking for 20 vehicles with overflow arrangements available, and full access to all facilities from the moment you arrive at 8am until your last guest departs at 10pm.

Venue Conditions & Important Information

🕐 Access Hours

Full access to all facilities from 08:00 to 22:00. All guests, caterers, vendors and the bridal party must have departed by 22:00. No exceptions. Early setup by prior arrangement only.

🍷 Non-Licensed Venue

Micah Event Venue is a non-licensed venue. Alcohol is not sold on the premises. You are welcome to supply your own wine, beer and spirits — and to appoint a responsible person to manage service.

🍽️ Self-Catering

This is a fully self-catering venue. All food, beverages and catering staff are your own responsibility. The kitchen, gas and solar power are provided — the rest is beautifully yours to arrange. We can offer limited cuttlery and crockery. Full wedding cuttlery/ crockery setups may need to be hired in.

🅿️ Parking

Secure on-site parking for 20 vehicles within the electric-fenced perimeter. Overflow parking is available adjacent to the property for larger guest lists.

⚠️ Child Safety

The property has a large fishpond that is not fenced. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Management accepts no liability for unsupervised children near the water feature.

📋 Booking & Deposit
